We have had an incredibly busy summer, both Jeri Lynn and me have had some major construction done on both our homes. Here in Santa fe we moved both our studio and house to our new dream home, in Lamy (how lucky is that?). We are almost done getting our new studio built and put back together…. Through all this JL has been making a baby boy who will be here soon,( can’t wait to meet the marvelous Marvel Heron Ingram). I feel like Mark and I, are about to give birth with the launch of our new jewelry collections! It would have all been more stressful but, we had fires burning around us here in Santa Fe/Lamy and that really kept everything in perspective. I have said it before but this summer I really meant it. “There is no such thing as a jewelry emergency”… but knowing people in Los Alamos, Cochiti, Dixon and all those surrounding areas where going through such loss made me feel lucky for each day we got to do what we love doing… There has just been allot going on, but we are at the fun stages, now it’s all about the finishing touches, and soon all will be revealed. step 1 of pendant making
We are currently working on our new pendants here is an example of the first step, we carve our pendant out of wax and really nail down the size, shape and weight in this step. Carving this piece took a couple of days just chiseling away and fine tuning until we got where we needed to be. Now for step 2 coming in a couple of days…to be continued….

I have a new habit every day I wake up make the coffee and then I go to my computer and I check silver and gold prices. I feel old because I can remember when silver used to be 7-8 dollars…This week really hurts silver has gone up to $36.00 and gold is at $1426.25, that really, really hurts…all I can say is OUCH!

Mark's sister just gave birth to a baby girl!!!
New addition to the herndon heald family, when we get a name I will let you know, I now have five nieces who I get to make jewelry for. Each has their own style, and its so fun to see who they are going to become and watch them grow…Happy Friday, baby welcome to the world and your auntie is standing by ready to make you beautiful things.

Arm Candy, to beat the winter blues
Here’s a scan of our triple wrap mixed media bracelets we will have soon. I look at them all piled up on a tray and it makes me so happy to see all the wonderful colors and I imagine wearing them, while I sit on a patio and drink margaritas! So over winter sooooo ready for spring. Come on sun and warmer days.

Here is a sketch by Sarah along with her custom necklace we made for her . We took her personal charms/milagros and added a rough ruby and our hammered bar, and mixed navajo chain with our paillette chain. I love how her sketch/sculpture and the necklace look together. I love it when custom pieces reflect the personality of the person wearing it. Sometimes plans do come together! Happy Happy Valentines!!!!
